Business Analyst - Sr Lead

Inserso is seeking a Business Analyst - Sr Lead to join our team to provide mission-critical analyst support on USAF logistics (depot maintenance) systems in a Program Management Office (PMO) environment. The candidate will be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) team lead and provide functional and/or technical analyses, IT lifecycle management guidance, and expertise to ensure systems remain sustainable and that application system changes are incorporated properly. Candidate will be part of the broader PMO team consisting of Government personnel, SME Team, and other support contractors. Currently, this position is full-time telework, however this could change at any time dependent on direction from the government Capability Delivery Manager (CDM).

Responsibilities:

  • Perform as SME Team Lead over all project efforts.
  • Coordinate PRPS task activities, work priorities, scheduling and work status information.
  • Analyze project software requirements and software designs.
  • Support requirements definition and analysis, design synthesis and verification and system analysis and control.
  • Review internal and external interface record layouts, BODs, data flow diagrams, computer programs and specifications and monitor data integrity between systems.
  • Perform research to respond to audits and other requests for information that are related to the technical and functional operations of the system.
  • Perform activities related to data analysis, database management and related functions.
  • Support the Government to ensure the system is being sustained consistently with established functional baselines.
  • Participate in planning, coordinating and conducting software maintenance activities associated with Change Requests (CRs) and software deployments.
  • Review CR documentation to identify and assess impacts to the baseline system.
  • Participate in peer reviews, Technical Interchange Meetings, Functional Review Boards, Change Control Boards and Technical Review Boards.
  • Review, evaluate, refine and/or support the development of all PRPS PMO life cycle documentation.
  • Provide expertise on PRPS USAF Logistics purchasing processes, policies, procedures and standards.
  • Provide technical expertise during all phases of sustainment software modification planning activities including FIAR and FISCAM requirements.
  • Identify and prioritize test requirements based on product roadmap, customer needs, and business objectives.


Required Skills/Experience:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Successfully complete a T1 Public Trust background check or higher.
  • 3 years of functional and technical experience with PRPS or comparable programs.
  • Experience managing/leading small teams (5 or less) of full-time employees.
  • Working knowledge of USAF logistics systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with Customers as well as other delivery teams involved in the problem resolution process.
  • Ability to drive results and lead in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Ability to work in a high stress and changing environment.


Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Working knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, Corporate Data Repository System (CDRS) and the Information System Management Tool (ISMT).
  • Agile trained and/or certified.
  • Experience with Business and Enterprise System (BES) Directorate's lifecycle management process in an Agile environment.
  • Knowledge of Air Force Logistics Systems to include Procure to Pay (P2P) model, USAF Purchasing Process to include Purchase Requests (PR), Delivery Order Requests (DOR), Military Interdepartmental Purchase Requests (MIPR), Standard Financial Information Structure (SFIS)/Standard Line of Accounting (SLOA).
  • Knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL).

  • Work independently to accomplish tasks and lead small teams if required.
