New York - White Collar Defense & Investigation Mid-Level Associate (RA8900861)

October 16, 2025 at 11:59 PM UTC Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP seeks a Mid-Level Associate in New York, NY to provide legal advice on white collar defense and government investigations, including enforcement matters brought by the Department of Justice (DOJ), the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). Requires a Juris Doctor degree or equivalent and two (2) years of experience conducting legal research in areas of white-collar criminal defense and government investigations, criminal and civil litigations, and administrative proceedings using Westlaw, LexisNexis, Intelligize, Pacer, and Docket Alarm; performing legal analysis on statutes and regulations including the Securities Act of 1933, the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, the Commodity Exchange Act, Financial Industry Regulatory Authority Rules, and the Hague Convention; drafting legal memoranda on substantive and procedural legal matters including due process, securities and wire fraud, civil and criminal forfeiture, entrapment, personal jurisdiction, attorney-client privilege, issue preclusion, and intervention; drafting court documents in areas of white-collar criminal defense, government investigations, and criminal and civil litigations, including pleadings, answers, motions, notices, and briefs; and utilizing Relativity and Exterro to review internal compliance policies, financial statements, Board meeting materials, and prior investigation findings in response to the U.S. government requests or internal investigations. Must be admitted to practice law in the State of New York. Telecommuting and/or working from home may be permissible pursuant to company policies. The starting base salary for this New York position is expected to be between $260,000.00 to $310,000.00 annually. Actual salary will be determined based on skills, experience (to the extent relevant) and other job-related factors, consistent with applicable law.
