Daikin Applied is seeking a talented Power BI Developer. The Power BI Developer will be responsible for designing wireframes and dashboards with an emphasis on user experience, consistency, and visibility. The role requires expertise in data visualization and analytics, with hands-on experience in business intelligence tools and Databricks. Location: Plymouth, MN - Hybrid

What you will do:



  • Hands-on development of Reports, dashboards, and data models
  • Document report logic, data models, and analytical methodologies to ensure maintainability and knowledge transfer
  • Build efficient queries to bring multiple dashboards into one semantic model
  • Provide data-driven recommendations to stakeholders and contribute to strategy development based on analytical findings
  • Build robust data models and implement advanced DAX calculations to support business intelligence needs and decision-making
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze data requirements and translate them into technical specifications
  • Investigate and resolve issues related to data sources, loading, and visualization logic across the program and other teams
  • Troubleshoot, enhance, and optimize existing Power BI reports and dashboards to ensure continued alignment with business needs
  • Ensure governance of data access and security policies, including Row-Level Security (RLS) and workspace permission models
  • Assist with performance tuning and report optimization to improve loading speed, usability, and scalability
  • Provide guidance and support to teams adopting Power BI, ensuring best practices in report design, modeling, and deployment
  • Performs upgrades as needed to incorporate new features and assure elevated levels of security and support



Minimum Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience working with large datasets and translating raw data into visually meaningful insights for decision-makers
  • Experience with Databricks platform
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to detect patterns and anomalies in large datasets
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve performance and configuration issues
  • Experience with Power Query for data transformation and manipulation
  • Familiarity with SQL and python
  • Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Knowledge of access management, security configuration, and compliance within cloud environments
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and produce high-quality documentation
  • Ability to work effectively with global teams

The typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $90,000 - $148,800 (+ 10-15% bonus) in Minnesota. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
