Overview Nakupuna Companies is looking for an UXO Technician II who will support munitions and explosive of concern (MEC)-related activities which includes, but not be limited to, munitions response to MEC, operational range clearance-related activities, and similar operations that involve the intentional physical contact with MEC such as ground-disturbing or other intrusive activities in areas known or suspected to contain MEC. Performs reconnaissance and classification of UXO.
Qualifications Personnel who are trained as a UXO Technician II must demonstrate the requisite knowledge and ability to perform required tasks in compliance with applicable operational and explosive safety requirements which includes understanding the purpose, requirements and procedures for the following:
Military Installation Access and Security Clearance: This may position reside on a military installation. Must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to qualify for and obtain a base access pass and currently hold or able to obtain a security clearance. Education and Experience: Personnel must be a graduate of a DoD Certified EOD/UXO course with a minimum of 3 years of EOD/MEC experience or a graduate of a military EOD School of the United States, Canada, Great Britain, Germany, or Australia with 1.5 years of EOD/MEC experience. This federal government project is subject to the Service Contract Act (SCA). The hourly rate for this position is determined by the location where work is performed. In addition to hourly pay, positions subject to SCA are entitled to a health and welfare (H&W) payment, which may be adjusted based employee selection of company benefits in lieu of H&W. |
