POSITION OVERVIEW AND PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

Alutiiq Operations Services, LLC has an exciting opportunity for an Electrician Maintenance Lead supporting Tinker Air Force Base located in Oklahoma City, OK. The Electrician Maintenance Lead oversees a team of Electricians, reviews their work, provides feedback, and implements training sessions to enhance their abilities. Performs a variety of electrical trade functions, such as the installation, maintenance, or repair of equipment for the production, distribution, or utilization of electrical energy. Skilled and proficient in the usage of thermography equipment, motor circuit analysis equipment and electrical measurement logging equipment (electronic chart recorder). Keeps supervisor apprised of unique situations and problems encountered and identify and reports safety, environmental and other work requirements for resolution.



  • Inspections and assessments of electrical gear, breaker panels, transformers, motor control centers, motors and other similar electrical equipment, reporting those conditions to the supervisor and performing the electrical repair work requests issued by the supervisor.
  • Utilize thermography imaging to investigate and identify facility and RPIE electrical hot spots, identify electrical distribution problems.
  • May be required to utilize both off-line and on-line motor analysis tools to test and provide reports on motors. Correct electrical problems identified.
  • Performs diagnoses and inspection of malfunctioning systems, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
  • Installs or repairs any of a variety of electrical equipment such as, transformers, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, motors, and other distribution equipment.
  • Works standard computations relating to load requirements of wiring or electrical equipment.
  • Utilizes and interprets technical manuals, shop directives, blueprints, sketches, diagrams, and specifications, verbal and written instructions.
  • Responsible for completing daily work order log documenting inspections, maintenance and repair information, to include work performed, materials used and hours worked on each assigned work order.
  • Interfaces with customers and responsible for customer feedback, as applicable.
  • Adheres to proper security practices, foreign object damage procedures and airfield driving regulations, as applicable.
  • Operates motor vehicles in accordance with company vehicle policies.
  • Complies with applicable federal, state, United States Air Force (USAF) and Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) environmental laws and regulations

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Valid Oklahoma State Electrical Journeyman License
  • High school diploma or equivalency.
  • Four (4) years' experience as an Electrician.
  • Valid state driver's license, acceptable driving record and proof of valid insurance.
  • Maintain all necessary licenses/IDs/certifications.
  • Ability to solve problems and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to adapt to changes in technology and applicable facility/infrastructure codes and standards.
  • Familiarity with facility/infrastructure codes and standards, as applicable.
  • Ability to deal with a variety of people in a professional & courteous manner in diverse situations.
  • Proficiency and knowledge of a variety of hand and power tools.
  • Demonstrate ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
  • 2 years verifiable experience working with infrared technology or equivalent certification. (For PdM department only.)


Preferred Qualifications and Experience:



  • Six (6) years' experience as an Electrician.
  • Working knowledge of solid-state and conventional control circuitry.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Military experience
  • Previous experience working on a military installation.
  • Experience working on Tinker facilities.
  • Familiarity with military-specific facility/infrastructure codes and standards as applicable.
