POSITION OVERVIEW AND PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):
Alutiiq Operations Services, LLC has an exciting opportunity for a Corrosion Control Technician supporting Tinker Air Force Base located in Oklahoma City, OK. The Corrosion Control Technician applies corrosion skills and aptitude to repair, install, troubleshoot, and perform predictive and preventative maintenance tasks on assigned corrosion control equipment, facilities, systems, and associated devices (rectifiers, test stations, ground beds, critical bonds, foreign line crossings, cased crossing, surveys, etc.). Maintains working knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards, performs associated required tasks, and complete required documentation (NACE, DOT, etc.). Assess existing CP systems and support development of a comprehensive CP program that documents CP systems ensuring underground structures and piping (natural gas, fuel and water to include firewater) are appropriately protected IAW DOT or industry standards for the respective product being carried and for the type of material the system is made of i.e. aluminum, carbon steel. This position requires acting as a company representative and SME when interacting with contractors, vendors and the Government.
- Performs asset criticality assessments regarding corrosion to identify assets needing to be review for Risk Based Inspections
- Conducts pipe-to-soil potential surveys, casing-to-soil readings, rectifier and bond readings, current flows on pipeline, and foreign pipe-to-soil readings and all other structures under CP on a frequency stated in O&M manuals or regulatory requirements and document in the corrosion database or other forms, records or reports
- Collects, reviews and updates data and deliverables including Corrosion Systems, Circuitization, API RBI, Risk Review and Inspection Planning and reviews with Gov't/client as requested
- Inspects coating removal, surface preparation and coating application systems including epoxies
- Provides maintenance of field test equipment, ensure good operating condition
- Accomplishes minor repairs to CP systems such as replacement of anodes, test stations, bonding and performs minor coating repairs to tanks and piping
- Locates and marks pipelines with line detection, pipeline locating equipment or probe rods using drawing and alignment sheets for reference
- Reads and interpret pipeline maps, as-built alignment sheets, drawings, and schematics
- Organizes and reduces data gathered, prepare charts and tables Assemble data for preparation of final client report including service recommendations
- Interprets internal corrosion (IC) data and assists senior staff in the preparation of survey reports and final job reports
- Communicates with technicians for assistance in effecting repairs when applicable
- Keeps supervisor apprised of unique situations and problems encountered and identify and reports safety, environmental and other work requirements for resolution
- Prepares red lined as-built existing drawings
- Utilizes and interprets technical manuals, shop directives, blueprints, sketches, diagrams, and specifications, verbal and written instructions.
- Documents records of inspections, maintenance and repairs as required.
- Interfaces with customers and is responsible for customer feedback, as applicable.
- Operates motor vehicles in accordance with company vehicle policies.
- Complies with applicable federal, state, United States Air Force (USAF) and Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) environmental laws and regulations.
- Follows Alutiiq Commercial Enterprises, LLC furnished information directives; Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs); Policies and Procedures, and contract requirements.
- Incumbent will at all times wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as determined by position and duties.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

- Assigned tools, materials and equipment.

- Performs close interval surveys, collects and analyzes data, performs remedial actions according to data results.
- Inspects and maintains CP equipment, maintains records and completes required reports.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School diploma or equivalency.
- NACE CP Level II certification required
- Three (3) years of Cathodic Protection survey experience or education
- Current state driver's license, acceptable driving record, proof of valid insurance.
- Knowledge of industry codes and standards related to Cathodic Protection.
- Understanding of equipment manuals and DOT standards/regulatory guidelines
- Must be physically able to perform all duties required: walking over uneven terrain, bending, moving.
- Demonstrated skills in using various computer software, including ability to use the Windows operating system as well as common office software such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
- NACE Tech III certification.
- While performing duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand and/or walk for long periods at a time, sit, use hands and fingers, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must be able to hear and speak. The employee must occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. Lifts exceeding 50 pounds will be accomplished with two-person teams and using appropriate safety equipment to efficiently accomplish the task. The employee is occasionally required to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends and/or holidays.
- This position may currently and/or in the future be required to obtain and retain a favorable National Agency Check (NAC) and/or Personal Clearance (PCL) as required by law or contract. Position requires pre-employment drug screening.
