Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Project Manager / Estimator to join our team. In this role you will plan, direct, coordinate, monitor budget, track performance, and report activity to senior management. This position requires a hands-on leader that takes ownership of the jobs from start to finish and delivers quality projects, on time & on budget while maintaining customer delight.
Essential Duties and Functions:

  • Work hand in hand with existing customers to help promote the company and sell our products and services. Assist BD team in the development of new customers.
  • Develop accurate cost estimates for piping, ASME Code work, boiler repair, power plant maintenance, equipment removal & installation, fabricated steel parts, structural steel, government contracts, and general maintenance projects and other industrial projects.
  • Write detailed proposals with an understanding of job risks, work to minimize unnecessary risks by properly worded clarifications and exceptions, passing on certain risks through well defined scopes and tight subcontractor/vendor proposals.
  • Work to negotiate project pricing, customer terms and conditions and job specific details to ensure Accurity and the customer have a well-defined understanding of the project scope.
  • Once projects are awarded evaluate risks, plan and develop kick off meetings, coordinate with HR for manpower requirements, and support field supervisors to ensure project is properly underway.
  • Plan and manage all aspects of the projects including safety, quality control, tools & equipment, manpower staffing, scheduling, fabrication, material control, subcontractors, and purchases.
  • Assist in performing job cost projections / monitor cost, schedule and quality of the project(s) and immediately report any issues that would affect cost or schedule performance.
  • Manage subcontractor/vendor pricing through RFI and change order processes to reduce costs overrun on jobs.
  • Properly manage the changing project environment, write RFI's, and change orders to the customers prior to execution of the work and work to minimize cost overruns and scope creep.
  • Manage the QA/QC process for projects with regard to red lined drawings, NDE documentation, welder qualifications and other QA/QC paperwork and ensure completion at end of jobs.
  • Create, maintain, and analyze budgets, records, and schedules to ensure work is accomplished within budget and on time.
  • Ensure Superintendents and foremen develop daily and weekly plans consistent with the overall project schedule.
  • Work independently to complete responsibilities.


Required Experience:

  • 5+ years' experience in the following: Heavy Industrial construction, project management, planning, and estimation.


Additional Requirements:

  • Strong problem solving and interpersonal skills
  • Independent judgment with an ability to anticipate production issues in advance
  • Team leadership experience
  • Able to communicate clearly and effectively with employees and management
  • Possess extensive knowledge in welding, piping and pipe fitting, construction processes, materials, subcontractor management and costing methods
  • Knowledge of Microsoft projects, Primavera or other scheduling software.
  • Construction management/Engineering degree or CMP a plus.

Pay & Benefits:
Pay: $95,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
Bonus: Yes, Based on performance
