QUALIFICATIONS AND FLEXIBLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Summary: As a Rental Inspector at Heavy Machines LLC, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality, safety, and readiness of our construction equipment and machinery for rental to our valued customers. Your responsibilities will involve thorough inspections, maintenance assessments, and documentation of equipment conditions, helping us maintain our commitment to providing top-quality equipment to our clients.

Duties and Responsibilities:





    • Conduct detailed inspections of construction equipment and machinery, including excavators, bulldozers, loaders, compactors, and more, to assess their condition and safety.
    • Evaluate the equipment's maintenance history and identify any issues or needed repairs. Work with the maintenance team to schedule and perform necessary repairs and servicing.
    • Maintain accurate and detailed records of equipment inspections, including documenting any damages, wear and tear, and maintenance activities.
    • Ensure that all equipment meets safety standards and compliance requirements. Identify and address any safety concerns or hazards.
    • Assist in managing inventory levels, monitoring equipment availability, and coordinating with the rental team to meet customer demands.
    • Interact with customers to answer questions, provide information on equipment condition, and ensure their satisfaction.
    • Work closely with the rental team to ensure that equipment is ready for rental, including cleaning, testing, and ensuring all accessories and documentation are in place.
    • Collaborate with other departments, such as maintenance, rental, and customer service, to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.



  • Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Must be able to push/pull at least 75 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Requires prolonged standing, walking, standing, bending, stooping, and stretching.


Must be able to work outside in various weather elements.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities



  • Strong knowledge of construction equipment and machinery.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Understanding of safety regulations and compliance.
  • Physical ability to inspect and evaluate heavy equipment
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to work in outdoor environments and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.



Education/ Experience:



  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Previous experience in equipment inspection, construction, or heavy machinery maintenance.
