Position Summary:

Under minimal supervision, the Cabinetry Technician will learn to fabricate and install complex wood cabinetry and subassemblies using a variety of woodworking tools, techniques, and materials. This role supports the custom interior completion of VIP aircraft and requires a detail-oriented mindset and willingness to learn industry-specific standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Fabricate high-quality cabinetry, ledges, divans, and other components in accordance with approved engineering procedures
  • Interpret blueprints, material specifications, and technical drawings to ensure accurate builds that meet design and customer expectations
  • Request materials and supplies proactively to maintain production timelines
  • Ensure all documentation, including proper sign-offs and logbooks, is completed in line with FAA and company regulations (RSQM)
  • Follow all safety procedures and properly handle tools, materials, and equipment
  • Support the implementation of lean manufacturing practices and process improvements
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required; trade school experience is a plus
  • Basic understanding of cabinetry or woodworking, preferably in a manufacturing or aviation setting
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering documents and blueprints
  • Fluent in English with strong communication skills

Desired Skills:

  • Eagerness to learn the VIP aircraft cabinetry build and installation process
  • Familiarity with FAA standards and RSQM compliance (or willingness to learn)
  • Proficient computer skills and ability to learn specialized software
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and quality control
  • Positive attitude with a professional and collaborative approach

Work Environment:

This role is based in an aircraft hangar and workshop setting. Candidates must be comfortable working in environments exposed to loud machinery, temperature changes, and occasional physical demands. Personal protective equipment is provided and must be worn when required.
