General Summary of Position:

The Wireless Solutions Engineer will serve as a critical technical resource within the Mobility team, providing subject matter expertise on cellular networking, private LTE/5G infrastructure, and complex IoT solution architecture. This role will support the full sales lifecycle, from pre-sales consultation through deployment, and collaborate closely with both internal teams and external partners to drive innovation and revenue growth in advanced wireless solutions.

Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Provide technical leadership on complex IoT and private cellular network deployments
  • Collaborate with Sales, Product, and Engineering teams to design, validate, and deploy customized wireless solutions
  • Serve as a primary technical point of contact during customer engagements, including RFP responses and technical presentations
  • Reduce reliance on third-party engineering by internalizing solution expertise, especially in engagements involving Webbing and other external providers
  • Support training and development of Solution Engineers
  • Act as a strategic advisor to the Product team on roadmap development and go-to-market strategies for new offerings
  • Assist in certification processes for new hardware and ensure compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., PTCRB, FCC)
  • Contribute to documentation and internal process development for Mobility and IoT solution deliver


Required Qualifications:



  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with cellular networking (LTE, 5G), including private network deployments
  • Solid understanding of radio access networks, SIM/app profile management, and device certification processes
  • Experience supporting enterprise or carrier-grade IoT solutions
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Familiarity with IoT platforms, device management, and integration with backend systems
  • Experience working with or at Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) or Mobile Virtual Network Operators (MVNOs)
  • Background in RF planning, antenna design, or cellular coverage modeling
  • Previous experience with international roaming, multi-IMSI logic, or private LTE/5G in enterprise environments
  • Industry certifications (e.g., CWNP, Cisco, CompTIA Network+ or similar)
