High Level Statement of the Role:
The Federal Bid and Compliance Analyst is responsible for managing and executing KII's federal lead and bid process, ensuring timely and compliant responses to federal opportunities. This role acts as the central point of coordination across internal teams and dealers to develop competitive federal proposals and maintain accurate contract data. With a deep understanding of government procurement practices and product positioning, this role supports sales growth, ensures regulatory compliance, and drives operational excellence in all federal bid activities.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Daily review and qualification/disbursement of Federal leads coming from various websites - i.e., GSA EBuy, SAM.gov, etc.
- Support KII's and Dealer's sales targets by documenting and following up on Federal leads, particularly where there are opportunities to respond to requests for quotes or bids
- Have a high-level understanding of the products for all brands and how to effectively position those products in bid opportunities
- Coordinate reviews with Federal Government Contract Manager and Legal as needed for federal bids/contracts
- Act as the Bid Project Manager, coordinating with all relevant team members to develop a successful KII proposal tailored to the specific needs of each project
- In coordination with the Federal Government Contract Manager, identify and engage teaming partners as needed. Draft and/or review contractor teaming arrangements to develop comprehensive solutions for the federal government
- Issue teaming partner purchase orders as needed and track/approve teaming partner invoices for payment
- Upload KII's federal bid response into various websites as necessary, mainly GSA EBuy
- Upon notification of a Dealer responding to a federal bid using KII products, including the VA IDIQ, take the lead in assisting with the creation and packaging of KII approved bid content for the Dealer's submission
- Develop and maintain a Bid Proposal Builder site for brand approved Federal Bid content to ensure timely bid execution
- Provide varying levels of training to others involved in bid and proposal activities, including field sales or dealer salespeople.
- Manage the SBA Self-Certification process to ensure our Dealers and Suppliers are accurately categorized into the appropriate socio-economic categories for reporting purposes
- In coordination with the Federal Government Contract Manager, upload and/or maintain GSA contract approved products in KII's SAP software and GSA Advantage
- In coordination with the Federal Government Contract Manager, monitor accuracy of content in GSA price lists for contract additions, deletions, etc.
- Support a Best in Class Customer Excellence culture by assisting Dealers, Customers and Customer Service with federal-related inquiries
Skills to Perform This Role:
Work/Educational Requirements
- Previous bid response experience, preferably with the federal government
- Office furniture product knowledge
- Must be comfortable with travel
- Bachelor's degree; or equivalent in work experience in a complex sales environment
