Garver is seeking an experienced individual to support our accounting operations and financial reporting functions as a Senior Accounting Analyst in our Little Rock, AR office. This role is ideal for a strategic and detail-oriented finance leader with deep experience in the professional services or engineering consulting industry.


This position will play a key role in supporting Garver's continued growth by ensuring financial integrity, compliance, and operational excellence across our multi-state and multi-disciplinary operations.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Financial Oversight: support all aspects of accounting operations, including audit, general ledger, project accounting, accounts payable, payroll, and financial statement publication.
  • Project-Based Accounting: support accurate financial tracking and reporting of projects.
  • Compliance & Controls: support strong internal controls and ensure compliance with GAAP, Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), and other regulatory requirements relevant to the engineering industry.
  • Audit & Tax: support annual audits and coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure timely and accurate filings.
  • Team Leadership: support a team of accounting professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Financial Reporting: support the delivery of timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
  • ERP & Systems: support financial operations (within Deltek Vision/Vantagepoint or similar ERP) and support system enhancements to support scalability and efficiency.
  • Strategic Partnership: Collaborate with operational leaders and the CFO to support strategic initiatives, budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
  • Process Improvement: support the identification and implementation of best practices to streamline accounting processes and improve financial transparency.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA preferred).
  • 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the engineering, architecture, or professional services industry.
  • Strong understanding of project-based accounting and cost allocation methodologies.
  • Experience with Deltek Vision/Vantagepoint or similar ERP systems is highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to support audits, ensure compliance, and support high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.

  • Experience in a multi-office, multi-state firm.
  • Familiarity with government contracting and FAR compliance.
