Job Description Summary

This role is crucial for bridging the gap between the Information Systems Department and University units, schools, and departments. The Workday Engagement Manager will ensure clear, effective communication, facilitate collaboration and orchestrate change activities in support of the University's Workday governance model and ecosystem. This position will leverage strong oral presentation, customer engagement, and facilitation skills to support IS projects and initiatives. The role would have particular focus on academic initiatives and projects, yet would contribute to other efforts as needed.

Job Description

Change Management & User Adoption

  • Develop and execute user adoption and change management plans for IS initiatives and implementations, especially those which have an academic focus.

  • Effectively communicate changes and their impacts to all stakeholder communities..

  • Drive stakeholder engagement and consensus-building for change initiatives through facilitated discussions.

  • Understand and anticipate institutional goals, operations, and industry to ensure change initiatives are relevant and impactful.

Institutional Analysis & Stakeholder Management:

  • Elicit, document, and validate institutional requirements from Wake Forest University students, faculty, and staff, through a variety of methods, including interviews, workshops, and surveys.

  • Present proposed IS solutions to university users and drive toward customer buy-in.

  • Manage client expectations through close and personal engagement to help further ensure project / implementation / initiative success.

  • Build and maintain understanding of University's unique stakeholder needs so as to guide the successful implementation of initiatives

  • Identify areas for enhancement of IS services from the Wake Forest University community and route to responsible teams.

  • Facilitate collaboration between IS technical resources and Wake Forest University institutional communities.

  • Other duties as assigned

Additional Job Description

Required Education, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Bachelor's degree and at least two years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination.

  • Experience with change management and user adoption strategies.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, both oral and written.

  • Experience in stakeholder engagement and facilitation.

  • Ability to elicit and document institutional requirements.

  • Experience working in higher education or a similar environment.

  • Project management skills.

  • Experience conducting interviews, workshops, and surveys.

Preferred Education, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Familiarity with IT systems and initiatives, especially in an academic setting.

  • Change Management certifications (e.g Prosci)

  • Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence (AI) concepts and their application in higher education.

Environmental Conditions:

  • Position must be present on Reynolda Campus and is not eligible for regular remote work.
