OverviewSenior Software Engineer - Windows Security Partner Enablement Customers face a wide variety of threats in their digital life and depend on solutions from Microsoft and our ecosystem partners to help keep them safe. On the Windows Ecosystem Enablement (WE2) team, our approach involves Windows platform security protections as well as deep collaboration with an ecosystem of ISV partners that provide value-added security software and services for our mutual customers. As a Senior Software Engineering, you will work directly with industry-leading security partners to define and adopt the newly announced Windows endpoint security platform. This new framework is central to our vision of a more resilient security ecosystem, enabling partners to deliver effective, performant security solutions. You will also work with multiple internal engineering teams to help shape the evolution of the platform based on real-world partner scenarios and needs. This is a hands-on engineering role with a unique opportunity to influence how security solutions are built and deployed across the Windows ecosystem -- empowering our partners and protecting over a billion customers worldwide. ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with internal and external stakeholders to determine partner requirements for a scenario. Contribute to long term technical strategy and direction for the platform. Drives identification of dependencies and the development of design documents for a product, application, service, or platform. Creates, implements, optimizes, debugs, refactors, and reuses code to establish and improve performance and maintainability, effectiveness, and return on investment (ROI). Leverages subject-matter expertise of product features and partners with appropriate stakeholders (e.g., project managers) to drive a workgroup's project plans, release plans, and work items. Proactively seeks new knowledge and adapts to new trends, technical solutions, and patterns that will improve the availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance of products while also driving consistency in monitoring and operations at scale. |
