Washington Trust Advisors, a boutique and growing Registered Investment Advisor (RIA), is seeking a seasoned Portfolio Manager & Wealth Advisor to join our investment and planning team. This is a unique opportunity for a professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys blending investment strategy, financial planning, and client relationship management.


In this role, you will design, manage, and monitor customized investment portfolios, develop comprehensive financial plans, and serve as a trusted advisor to high-net-worth individuals, families, and institutions. You'll also contribute to our investment research and asset allocation committees, support business development, and help shape the future of our firm.



What You'll Do



  • Manage discretionary investment portfolios tailored to client goals, risk tolerance, and financial circumstances.
  • Deliver holistic financial planning advice, including retirement, tax, estate, and insurance strategies.
  • Conduct regular portfolio reviews and performance evaluations with clients.
  • Serve as the primary relationship manager for assigned clients, ensuring exceptional service and proactive communication.
  • Participate in investment committee meetings, contribute to research, and support asset allocation decisions.
  • Collaborate with internal and external professionals (e.g., attorneys, CPAs) to coordinate client solutions.
  • Support new business development through referrals, networking, and thought leadership.



What You Bring



  • 15+ years of experience in portfolio management, financial planning, and client advisory roles.
  • Deep understanding of capital markets, asset allocation, and investment selection.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships based on trust, performance, and service.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify complex financial concepts.
  • CFA or CFP designation strongly preferred;
  • Series 65 license required (may be acquired after hire).
  • Familiarity with tools such as MoneyGuidePro, Holistiplan, and Black Diamond is desirable.
