Summary:

Goldbelt Apex is actively seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Scientific Program Manager II. This role offers an opportunity to make a significant contribution to our research initiatives and drive key projects forward.


Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

  • Assists in the management of the scientific program by providing project management, crafting scientific reports, status reports, and technical abstracts for collaborators and funders.
  • Coordinates meetings, budget and accounting, space management, personnel management, agreements, and purchasing.
  • Sets up and maintains department files and assists with initiating, organizing, and completing department projects.
  • Draft/route memos, department correspondence, publication clearances, and travel requests.
  • Meeting management to include maintaining department calendar, planning itineraries and agendas, maintaining meeting minutes, disseminating meeting information, and coordinating meeting rooms/phone bridges/web meetings.
  • Coordinates the initiation and processing of purchase orders, supply sources, work orders, and maintenance requests.
  • Communicates with internal staff and external customers.
  • Communicates with vendors and obtains quotes for supplies.
  • Assists in ensuring all required reports are completed and submitted on time.

Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

  • Proficient in supply ordering and procurement using General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS), Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS), Electronic Centralized Acquisition Tool (ECAT), LogiCole, and other related Department of Defense (DoD) resource management and purchasing systems.
  • Skilled in using Windows operating systems, Apple operating systems, and the Microsoft Office software suite.
  • Knowledge of budgetary procedures related to research projects, creation and maintenance of timelines, milestones, and deliverable tracking.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master of Science in Biological Sciences and Master of Business Administration (MBA)
  • Minimum three years of experience managing projects focused on the development of enteric countermeasures.

Pay and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $120,000 annually.
