General Description: Under general direction, manages day-to-day operations, establishes policies, procedures, standards and objectives for the provision of Imaging Services. Assumes overall responsibility for quality and continuity of department workflow, thereby providing continuity and quality of care administered to age specific groups, consistent with the philosophy, goals, policies and procedures of the department. Supports the Director in achieving quality and individualized care based on evidenced based best practices in healthcare management. General Responsibilities:
Minimum Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's Degree in a healthcare field or other related field required Experience: 5 years professional level experience in radiologic technology field required and 3 to 5 years progressive leadership experience required. License(s)/Certification(s)/Registration(s) Required: Registration from the American Registry of Radiological Technology (ARRT) preferred; advanced level certification preferred. Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association required upon hire. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of the operation and monitoring of ionizing radiation equipment, apparatus and storage. Knowledge of prescribed safety standards as outlined by the department of radiation safety. Skill in supervisory methods. Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with other medical staff, peers and subordinates. Knowledge of PACS, CR and DR systems.
