Position Summary

The Director of Medical Marketing will be responsible for supporting medical marketing initiatives. The Director will lead advisory boards and speaker content, and support speaker bureaus and opinion leader (OL) engagement/advocacy strategy. The Director will be responsible for management of all marketing operation components, and key agency partnerships. The Director will play a role in the execution of the RYTELO US launch for patients with LR-MDS. The Director will also partner closely with the US Regional Marketing (RM) team, promotion team, and various cross functional stakeholders and external vendors to implement strategy and tactics aligned to established business goals and objectives.

This position is remote with a corporate headquarters in Foster City, CA and Parsippany, NJ. The Director will report to the Vice President, Marketing.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Leads national advisory boards for RYTELO with some support from other team members
  • Leads development of the RYTELO speaker bureau content, including branded and unbranded materials
  • Support RM team with the execution of third-party driven peer to peer programming and regional advisory boards/focus groups
  • Responsible for all marketing operation components
  • Participates in speaker bureau training and communications, including leading workshops
  • Participates in OL engagement strategy and advocacy plan as part of the team
  • Understands brands' strategic plans and incorporates into all deliverables
  • Monitors the oncology MDS landscape seeking out key insights and areas of opportunity to support ongoing marketing efforts
  • Collaborates closely with promo/strategy team to ensure broad communication of advisor insights and alignment on marketing direction
  • Works cross functionally to ensure scientifically accurate and compelling presentations
  • Manages and provides directions to key agency partners to deliver on key strategic and tactical initiatives
  • Manages medical marketing initiatives budget for assigned efforts
  • Ensures compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies
  • Helps analyze moderately complex problems and situations, provides logical recommendations, and leads any required action planning
  • Ability to travel domestically up to 40% of the time to conferences, advisory boards, team meetings and agency meetings

Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, life sciences, or related discipline and a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience required, advanced degree a plus
  • Prior oncology product launch experience required, injectable and/or infusion experience a plus
  • Experience with developing and executing marketing strategies and tactics and interactions with field-based teams
  • Proven track record of marketing fundamentals, including advisory boards, brand plan development, and execution
  • History of successful pharmaceutical/biotechnology marketing and/or medical affairs in specialty categories

Salary Statement:

Offered compensation is determined based on market data, internal equity, and an applicant's relevant skills, experience, and educational background. The salary ranges displayed below are only for those who, if selected for the role, will perform work in the specific locations listed. Please note the employment opportunity is not limited to these locations.

General Salary Range: $215,000 to $230,000
