* Job Description* TEKsystems Inc. is hiring a Telecommunications Technician for a 6-month contract in Gallatin, TN, with strong potential for permanent hire. This role supports infrastructure in the Greater Nashville Area and includes full benefits: medical, dental, vision, and 401k. * Responsibilities* * Install, maintain, and repair telecom systems and equipment * Conduct inspections and troubleshoot network issues * Configure and program devices (routers, PBX, VoIP systems) * Support end-users with diagnostics and resolutions * Track equipment inventory and service activity * Collaborate with team for seamless connectivity * Stay current with emerging tech and safety standards * Top Skills* * Cat5/Cat6 cable installation * Punchdown and low-voltage techniques * Telecom racks and data center environments * VoIP, PBX, and protocol familiarity * Installation, troubleshooting, and service * Additional Qualifications* * High school diploma or equivalent * Certifications a plus * Strong work ethic, punctuality, and attention to detail * Able to work independently or with a crew * Effective communicator and eager to adapt * Experience Level* Entry Level - ideal for candidates looking to grow with hands-on experience and career progression. * Benefits* * Weekly pay * Full medical, dental, and vision * 401K retirement plan * Supportive team culture and professional growth Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $24.00/hr.
