*Job Title: Retail Assistant Buyer* Job Description Supports the buying team in executing the seasonal buying strategy to achieve sales and gross margin goals. This role involves gathering data, maintaining reporting, and preparing documents to assist various merchants and buyers.
Responsibilities * Provide accurate data to enable teams to analyze current business trends and take necessary actions. * Support senior buyers with seasonal buys, from planning through execution, by preparing documentation, collecting and analyzing data, and creating visual documentation. * Participate in cross-functional meetings to gather key information and execute merchandising decisions. * Create product catalogs to support seasonal strategy for leadership product reviews and retail stores. * Upload orders and reconcile seasonal buys. * Perform other duties as assigned. Essential Skills * Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLookups and XLookups. * Solid communication skills, both written and verbal, with excellent presentation skills. * 2 to 3 years of experience in buying or assistant buying roles. * Strong understanding of retail industry and specific metrics used. Additional Skills & Qualifications * Experience with Illustrator and CAD is preferred. * Retail math experience is helpful. * Experience in purchasing, ERP, SAP, vendor management, and logistics. * Ability to support multiple buyers effectively. Work Environment Work in an office environment on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Portland, Oregon. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00/hr.
