This is ahybrid position based out of Feeding America's Chicago office location. At Feeding America, we believe in offering a flexible work environment. Employees must be in the office an average of 2 days a week (when not travelling for work) and work from home on other days. Employees also have access to a 30-day "work anywhere" program during the course of each calendar year that can be combined with PTO and/or holidays.

The Opportunity

The Business Analyst, Salesforce Administrator will serve as the Salesforce Administrator for Feeding America's Salesforce Orgs. Primary responsibilities will include implementing enhancements, resolving bugs and maintaining applications in the Salesforce ecosystem. This role supports Salesforce technical staff as well as product owners and end users around processes and practices, data access and protection and will troubleshoot or escalate issues as needed. As Administrator, this individual will execute, and finalize projects, with an emphasis on CRM applications and assist ongoing support of those CRM initiatives.
The Business Analyst will also act as a business analyst for the Marketing Systems team and will with partner with business partners tosolicit, gather, and analyze user input and document business needs. The Salesforce Administrator will turn those needs into technical requirements, create user stories in JIRA and map requirements to out-of-box functionality within Salesforce.
Compensation

Here at Feeding America national organization, equality is central to our mission and is an integral part of our compensation policies and structures. As such, we maintain transparent salary ranges and clearly defined practices for how our team, including new hire salary offers, moves through these ranges. You can expect us to offer the best salary up front based on these clearly defined pay practices with little room for negotiation. We make exceptions for highly experienced (multiple years of at-level experience) new hires in accordance with our pay practices. Once hired, employees have the opportunity to progress through salary ranges via regular merit increases and step promotions.

Salary Range: $78,000 - $83,000 Based on Experience.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, configure and maintain business specific functions within Feeding America's Salesforce Orgs, in conjunction with internal staff and external partners, with attention to long-term organizational needs.
  • Contribute to the implementation of new features and enhancements to the Salesforce platform, often under the direction of senior administrators.
  • Configure Salesforce features, such as page layouts, custom fields, reports, dashboards, and workflows to meet business requirements.
  • Participate in all aspects of Salesforce releases, including feature review and impact analysis, planning, designing, building, testing, deploying, supporting, and documenting.
  • Assist Salesforce Administrators and Developers with the configuration and support of the Salesforce Orgs, as well as related Salesforce applications, such as Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud, Sales Cloud, Document Generation, Flows, Automations and integrations.
  • Troubleshoot issues, provide recommendations, and implement solutions and best practices in the areas of data integrity standards, data quality and overall Salesforce system usage.
  • Gather, and analyze user input from business partners to document business needs. Translate needs into technical Salesforce requirements documented in JIRA user stories.
  • Create and perform testing and validation processes, including User Acceptance Training and Quality Assurance, in Salesforce and integrated systems.
  • Train, inform, and support users regarding system functionality, enhancements, system configuration and best practices.
  • Assist in managing live production activity and participate in efforts to resolve production incidents.
  • Take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
  • May contribute to internal technical change management best practices in CRM applications.
    Required Experience and Qualifications:
    • Technical expertise as a Salesforce Administrator; 3+ years Salesforce Administrator experience
    • Salesforce Certified Administrator
    • Ability to extrapolate business requirements and translate into Salesforce functional requirements
    • Experience analyzing user input and documenting requirements, documenting user stories and creating to-be process flow diagrams
    • Experience training end users
    • Competent and proficient understanding of business tools and platforms (working familiarity with Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud, Sales Cloud, Experience Cloud, Apex, SharePoint)
    • Knowledge and experience using Salesforce concepts, including objects, fields, workflows, and security settings
