What to Expect
Consider before submitting an application: This position is expected to start around January 2026 and continue through the Fall term (ending approximately May 2026) orcontinuinginto Summer 2026 if available and there is an opportunity to do so. We ask for a minimum of 12 weeks, full-time and on-site, for most internships. Our internship program is for students who are actively enrolled in an academic program. Recent graduates seeking employment after graduation and not returning to school should apply for full-time positions, not internships.
International Students: If your work authorization is through CPT, please consult your school on your ability to work 40 hours per week before applying. You must be able to work 40 hours per week on-site. Many students will be limited to part-time during the academic year. About the Team
ThePackaging Engineering teamdevelopsand leadsthe implementation ofcutting-edgepackaging.Interns will developpackagingneeded to effectively protect and integrate with the automated material flow and manufacturing lines. Interns will also contribute to enhancing the development process and supporting tools.
Multiple Locations Possible: Fremont, CA; Sparks, NV; Austin, TX
What You'll Do
- Design part packaging to interface with custom production automation equipment and material handling equipment
- Support automation equipment design as part of the project team developing new custom automation equipment
- Work with the Design Engineering team to understand part designin order todevelop highly optimized packaging solutions for a wide range of parts
- Work with part suppliers and packaging suppliers to get your designs implemented
What You'll Bring
- Currently pursuing a degree inPackagingEngineering, MechanicalEngineering,ProjectManagement, orarelated field
- Experience working with design,developmentand implementation of packaging projects. Preference in the automotive industry or high-speed automated lines
- PMP, PMI certificates or experienceinprojectmanagement is helpful for project management interns
- Solidworks, Catia, CAD software, TOPS/CAPE,ArtiosCADcan all be helpful skills
- Demonstrated ability tofacilitatedynamic cross-functional projects with engineering, supply chain,manufacturingand test to meet project timelines
- Proficientat-riskmanagement and communication
- Experience working in time critical and fast-paced product development
- Strong record keeping and organizational skills necessary

Expected Compensation
$16.35 - $33.65/hour + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
