Electrical I&C CAD Designer

Major Duties, Responsibilities, and Qualifications

* Creates and revised engineering drawings under the direction of task engineers or designers

* Prepares engineering drawings using MicroStation and AutoCAD

* Identifies and resolves model design, and interface problems with system engineers.

* Prepares clear, complete and accurate working plans and detail drawings from layouts, rough or detailed sketches, electronic databases, or written or verbal instructions.

* Ability to interpret and convert legacy vellum engineering drawings into modern CAD models and detailed engineering drawings

* Experience with configuration control, revision tracking, and compliance with industry drafting standards

Basic Qualifications:

* Associate degree in an engineering discipline with two or more years of experience in drafting support for complex multi-discipline systems, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

* Relevant understanding of codes and standards, such as IEEE and NFPA 70.

* Proficient in electrical and I&C design drawing changes

* Experience with HMI/PLC control systems software

* Experience supporting Design Basis Reconstitution efforts in a nuclear or industrial facility

* Strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve model design and interface issues with system engineers

* Familiarity with DOE design and engineering standards.

Training in AutoCAD / MicroStation
