Core Responsibilities:

Data Governance Program Leadership:



  • Develop and implement the enterprise data governance framework, policies, standards, and procedures tailored to manufacturing business needs.
  • Define and manage data ownership, stewardship, and accountability roles across the organization.
  • Partner with IT, operations, quality, engineering, and commercial teams to ensure governance practices are embedded in business processes.


Data Quality & Integrity:



  • Establish and monitor data quality KPIs for critical manufacturing data domains (e.g., BOM, part master, supplier, inventory, quality records).
  • Implement data profiling, cleansing, and validation processes to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Drive root cause analysis and corrective action plans for recurring data issues.


Regulatory Compliance & Security:



  • Ensure compliance with relevant manufacturing and data regulations (e.g., ITAR, ISO 9001, AS9100, GDPR, CCPA).
  • Collaborate with security teams to align governance with cybersecurity, access control, and privacy standards.


Stakeholder Engagement & Communication:



  • Serve as the primary liaison for data governance across business units, translating complex data concepts into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Facilitate governance councils, data stewardship meetings, and cross-functional workshops to align on priorities.


Change Management & Enablement:



  • Lead change management initiatives to foster a culture of data accountability and literacy.
  • Provide training and support to promote adherence to data governance standards and tools


Core Responsibilities:



  • Strong understanding of data governance frameworks (e.g., DAMA-DMBOK).
  • Experience with master data management (MDM) platforms and data catalog tools (e.g., Collibra, Informatica, Alation).
  • Experience with SAP MDG/MDM
  • Familiarity with ERP and MES systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Siemens Teamcenter).
  • Knowledge of data quality tools and best practices.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills; able to manage multiple governance initiatives simultaneously.
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to bridge business needs and technical capabilities.


Education & Experience:



  • Bachelor's degree in information management, Data Science, Engineering, or related field; master's preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in data management, governance, or related roles, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing or related environment.
  • Proven track record in designing and operationalizing enterprise data governance programs.
