Job Title: Parts Loader


Summary:
Assist in the safe production of quality products by ensuring parts are moved though the production process efficiently and checked for quality.
Included, but not limited to: Line Loading, Visual Inspection, Sorting, and Movement and Transporting of Heavy Chip Bins on Roller Systems.

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Comply with all company environmental, health, and safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Safely operate pallet jacks to transport materials throughout the plant.
  • Supply components to hoppers, indexing poles, and conveyor systems as needed.
  • Load parts from the basket onto machine conveyor.
  • Frequently lift and move parts weighing 7-10 lbs.
  • Perform visually inspections of components and parts to identify defects; sort and disassemble defective parts as required.
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.


Starting Wage: $17.00

We offer a 2nd shift differential of $2.00 per hour and 3rd shift differential of $3.00 per hour

The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity. At NTA Precision Axle, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.

Education and / or Experience



  • Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English to successfully complete required safety training.
  • Basic mathematical skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, using whole numbers.
  • Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to maintain focus and attention on assigned tasks for extended periods.
  • Ability to organize tasks, materials, or activities in a logical sequence and follow established procedures.
  • Ability to perform frequent material handling activities, including pushing, pulling, lifting, and moving heavy bins and materials throughout the work shift.



Work Environment &Physical Demands

The work environment characteristics described below are representative of those encountered while performing the essential duties of this position. Reasonable accommodations may be provided to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job.

The noise level in the work environment is generally moderate and may vary depending on production activity. Employees working in the manufacturing area are required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including steel-toe safety shoes, safety glasses, and hearing protection, at all times.

This position is located in a manufacturing environment where temperatures may vary by season, including warm conditions during the summer and cooler conditions during the winter.




  • While performing the duties of this position, employees may be exposed to moving mechanical equipment, hazards commonly found in a manufacturing environment, chemicals, vibration, and elevated noise levels.
  • Required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) includes steel-toe safety shoes, safety glasses, chemical resistant gloves, and bump caps in designated production areas.
  • This position requires a minimum 40-hour workweek. Overtime, including extended hours and weekends, may be required based on business needs.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and always maintain a strong commitment to workplace safety.
  • Safety is the highest priority, and employees are expected to consistently follow all safety policies, procedures, and work practices.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to handle, grasp, or feel objects, reach with hands and arms, and communicate effectively through speaking and hearing. The role also requires frequent climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, and crouching.
  • Requires the visual acuity necessary to inspect finished parts and components, including the ability to identify fine details at close range and successfully perform quality inspection activities.
