Steelcase is hiring a Senior Recruiter/Talent Acquisition Consultant in Grand Rapids, MI. We are looking for a master relationship-builder and a trusted advisor who is passionate about connecting people with the right work and driving business results. This is an opportunity to join a dynamic and highly collaborative Global Talent Acquisition team that never stops evolving and building its capabilities.

What you will be doing:

In this role, you will lead full cycle recruitment for salaried professional roles across various business functions with a heavy emphasis on gaining strong alignment with hiring leaders, rigorously screening and analyzing candidates, and advising on best practices through the selection process.

Key accountabilities include:

  • Lead and execute a robust Evidence-Based selection process and promote an inclusive recruitment strategy
  • Thoroughly understand position requirements and business needs to effectively assess, analyze, and deliver high quality candidates in a timely manner
  • Advise hiring managers on best practices for interviewing and selecting talent, ensuring alignment with Talent Acquisition strategies and Company core values
  • Maintain strong data integrity within Applicant Tracking System in support of compliance measures and operational excellence
  • Build and maintain a network of potential candidates through proactive market research and ongoing relationship management

You are process oriented, data-driven, pay close attention to detail, and have a keen sense of urgency. You have an ability to navigate sensitive and complex situations with ease; change and ambiguity do not stress you out.

You have a background in relationship-based, consultative recruitment and take a proactive approach in growing your pipeline and staying engaged with top talent. You know how to balance the wants and needs of both candidates and hiring leaders and create positive experiences for both. Minimum Qualifications

  • Advanced full cycle recruitment experience for multi-faceted organizations, across various business functions using a data-driven approach
  • Proven ability to approach and solve problems analytically
  • Articulate and assertive communication style
  • Demonstrates a high level of accountability and an affinity towards process and results

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Knowledge and experience with skills-based hiring and psychometric assessments
  • Experience recruiting roles with a focus on Corporate Strategy and/or Business Consulting
  • Bachelor's Degree or formal education in organization or industrial psychology
