Located along the stunning Gulf Coast of Florida, FLIK is a leader in retail and student dining operations. . With state-of-the-art facilities, passionate staff, and a vibrant community, we provide students, families, and visitors with exceptional experiences in every interaction-including our retail and dining services. FISD is seeking a dedicatedRetail Food Operations Manager to oversee the successful operation of six retail and cafeteria outlets at IMG Academy, a premier sports training and education destination. Reporting to the Director of Dining Services, you'll be responsible for all aspects of retail foodservice management-including staffing, customer service, inventory, and financial performance. This role requires availability for nights, weekends, and holidays to support a dynamic campus schedule. You will be at the heart of our Food & Nutrition Services team, ensuring the seamless operation of our retail and cafeteria spaces. Under the guidance of the Director of Dining Services, you'll create dynamic experiences that align with our school's commitment to excellence. From handling special events to leading a team that delivers outstanding service, you'll play a pivotal role in creating a welcoming environment for students, families, and guests. Key Responsibilities: * Operational Excellence: Plan and oversee special functions, lead cash controls, payroll records, and ensure accurate hiring and training of hourly team members. * Customer Experience: Ensure customer satisfaction through safe, efficient, and resourceful operations while maintaining excellent public relations. * Team Leadership: Direct staff to deliver credible retail services aligned with corporate policies and high presentation standards. * Training & Development: Train team members in customer service, portioning, cashier skills, and safety/sanitation procedures to ensure exceptional service. * Financial Management: Implement cash handling standards to prevent theft and maintain accountability, completing all required reports on time. * Communication: Champion clear and effective communication with team members, management, students, families, and community partners. * Standards Maintenance: Uphold cleanliness, sanitation, and safety protocols to align with both corporate standards and the school's values. Preferred Qualifications: * Education: B.S. Degree in Food Services Technology/Management or related field preferred; A.A. Degree plus three years of related experience also acceptable. * Experience: Minimum of 1-3 years of retail foodservice management experience, depending on educational background.Experience in quick-serve operations within a busy, fast-paced environment preferred * Expertise: Knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, sanitation, cost controls, marketing, and innovative presentation. * Financial Acumen: Experience with P&L accountability, budgeting, and cash retail operations. * Leadership Skills: Proven supervisory, management, coaching, and mentoring abilities. * Marketing Savvy: Retail marketing experience is a significant plus. * Tech Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, email, internet, and other relevant computer programs. * Interpersonal Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels of the organization.
