Position: Warranty Assessor

Location: Irvine, CA.



Requirements:

  • Automotive technical certification or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in automotive service operations.
  • Warranty and/or Parts department experience with a distributor or manufacturer considered an asset.
  • Knowledge with automotive components, systems, troubleshooting, and repair.
  • Mid to expert-level proficiency with MS Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Understanding of Dealer Management Systems (ADP, Reynolds & Reynolds, etc.).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.




Summary
This position is responsible for reviewing dealer warranty repair activities per OEM policy and procedures, including returned warranty parts inspections. This position identifies and actions compliance deficiencies to reduce excess warranty expense drivers. At the direction of the Warranty Assurance Manager, individual will conduct audits of dealer warranty claim activity, assign chargebacks for non-compliance, and support audit findings in meetings with OEM Field Service.
Duties to include:

  • Identify dealer non-compliance and take appropriate action, including audits, to ensure dealer compliance with OEM service policy regarding dealer warranty repairs and claim submission process.
  • Support Warranty parts return activities, Technical Service Bulletin compliance and targeted claims reviews as directed by management.
  • Propose enhancements to increase department efficiency through improvements in process workflow and reporting.
  • As needed, process Warranty claims via the Payment Approval System (PAS).
  • Other duties as assigned.

The base pay range above represents the low and high end of the base compensation range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Actual base compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, actual experience, and job performance.
