All about the role:

The Commercial Finance Analyst is a critical role that supports and impacts the achievement of commercial objectives within a dynamic market and environment. Primary responsibilities include, but may not be limited to, managing customer claims, chargebacks and deductions while also supporting the Aftermarket and Wellbeing Commercial Finance Controllers with reports and other processes.

The successful analyst is data-driven, intellectually curious, analytically gifted, financially savvy, a problem solver, collaborative, and has excellent business acumen. The analyst is proactive and progressive and can effectively build and translate analyses into clear and meaningful action-plans for the commercial organization.

Qualifications:

  • Serves as primary business facing contact for Finance, working closely with customer account managers and business operations to create, manage, and execute claims, chargebacks and customer deductions
  • Partner with internal team supporting, improving and leveraging the existing information on the channels and supporting areas like GFSS
  • Be open and trusted resource and develop up to complex models for projects as part of a cross-functional team to support strategic initiatives
  • Drive enhancements to reporting and planning capabilities, participating in cross-functional initiatives to continuously improve and automate commercial financials and controls
  • Perform regular general ledger and period end closing support in reporting and visibility as it relates to revenue
  • Performs regular account reconciliations as required
  • Ability to effectively interface with various commercial teams as well as various stakeholders across the organization
  • Other duties and ad hoc projects may be assigned
  • SAP, Business Objects BI reporting and data visualization tools
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work on complex issues and perform in-depth evaluations
  • Ability to work independently with managerial support
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • Problem solver, system and detailed oriented with strong analytical skills, especially dealing with large volumes of data without sacrificing on accuracy
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects and tasks and manage time effectively
  • Strong documentation skills

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics and/or related field
  • 3+ years of finance and/or related experience
  • Intermediate to advanced SQL skills (or equivalent)
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills (or equivalent)

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus.
