Benefits Coordinator

Overview:

Supports project teams using a wide range of developing benefits skills. Strong written and interpersonal communication with all levels in the organization. Eager to learn, highly organized and willing to contribute creatively to the team.

Responsibilities:

  • Establishes and maintains positive and professional working relationships with internal and external customers and vendors
  • Coordinates and conducts benefits orientation on an ongoing basis
  • Coordinates and distributes employee packets (e.g., benefit packets, parent packets, etc.)
  • Coordinates and processes new hire benefit enrollment across offices
  • Proactively monitors and responds to Benefits email inbox inquiries; escalating questions as needed to the appropriate team member
  • Schedules and coordinates wellness events across offices
  • Processes wellness credit submissions and completes wellness reports
  • Conducts regular benefits-related audits, such as dependent verifications, 401k, wellness credits, and others as needed
  • Regularly maintains Source pages in collaboration with Benefits team
  • Collaborates on drafting benefits communications
  • Partners with HR Touchpoints across offices on launching and coordinating various HR and Benefits items throughout the year
  • Supports leave of absence process
  • Supports offboarding process as relates to benefits
  • Assists with Worker's Comp inquiries and filings
  • Assists with Medicare inquiries, Urgent Adds, transportation benefit updates, vendor reporting, billing audits and invoice submissions
  • Assists with New Hire emails
  • Demonstrates sense of urgency in coordinating and respondingto Requests for Information (RFIs)/Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and certification information for benefit-related requests
  • Collaborates to coordinate Month of Service (firm community volunteer initiative) for the Talent team
  • May assist with qualified health letters, verification of employment requests and processing unemployment claims as needed
  • May assist with implementing and maintaining ongoing and annual employee recognition initiatives
  • May complete onboarding process in Workday as needed
  • Performs work in a manner that demonstrates an awareness of and an appreciation for the firm's cultural values, including a commitment to quality, innovation, learning and growth
  • Other tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Professional degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Psychology or related degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience in Human Resources in a corporate firm strongly preferred
  • Experience in the use of HRIS systems (Workday) strongly preferred
  • Experience in MS Office Suite; strong Excel and analytical skills
  • Experience in Adobe Suite preferred
  • Basic knowledge of human resources best practices, policies, procedures, benefit offerings and employment law
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with all levels of staff
  • Ability to hold sensitive information with a high level of confidentiality
  • Ability to work under strict guidelines, competing priorities and immediate requests
  • Ability to communicate and present ideas in a clear, concise and professional manner both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to problem solve and apply innovative solutions
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate in a team environment
  • Ability to effectively meet deadlines at expected quality
  • In Office Days Requirement: 3 days required in the Dallas office
