Job Description

The ideal candidates should possess experience in assembling and testing both low and high-voltage electro-mechanical assemblies. They will be responsible for working from schematics, blueprints, and detailed instructions, using hand tools, power tools, and various specialized equipment to fit and install electrical and mechanical components, ultimately producing functional products and systems. Their duties will include assembling electrical load centers, terminating and wiring electrical receptacles, assembling mechanical and electrical parts according to specifications, as well as testing and troubleshooting to guarantee quality and functionality.

  • Assembling Electrical Components: Utilizing hand tools, power tools, and fixtures to collaboratively assemble mechanical and electrical components in accordance with specifications. Build electrical outlets, harnesses, and related elements while ensuring the safe and efficient use of hand and power tools.
  • Wiring and Termination: Setup, route, and terminate electrical wiring and cables according to schematic. Connect wires, cables, breakers and various electrical components to construct electrical load centers and distribution panels.
  • Installation: Install and fit components, load centers, transformers and electrical panels into larger assembly and custom-made metal frames.
  • Testing and troubleshooting: Conduct Point-to-Point connectivity tests to verify that wiring meets specifications. Power and evaluate assembled products for functionality while identifying and addressing any issues.
  • Quality control: Inspecting assemblies for defects and ensuring adherence to quality standards.
  • Documentation: Follow engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and build instructions, recording assembly procedures and any issues encountered.
  • Reading and interpreting schematics: Understanding and following technical drawings and diagrams.
  • Workspace Cleanness: Maintain a clean and organized work area; Assist with inventory and materials management as needed
  • Safety: Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies

Required Experience, Education, and Skills

  • High School Diploma or equivalent. Advanced education/training in electrical &/or fabrication is preferred.
  • Experience with load center wiring or electrical enclosures.
  • Familiarity with safety codes and electrical standards (e.g., NEC).
  • Previous work in manufacturing or panel-building environments.
  • 2+ years of experience in metal fabrication and/or electrical assembly.
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools (drills, punches, grinders, etc.).
  • Basic understanding of electrical systems and wiring practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and wiring diagrams.
  • Comfortable working with both metal and electrical components.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
