Full-Time Gymnastics Coach - Phoenix United Team

The Beverly YMCA is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Gymnastics Coach to join our Phoenix United Team Gymnastics program. What You'll Do:

As a Gymnastics Coach, you'll play a vital role in both competitive and recreational programming by:

Coaching youth and team gymnasts with age-appropriate, high-quality instruction.
Adapting techniques to meet individual needs and support skill progression.
Teaching recreational classes that encourage gymnasts to advance into competitive levels.
Collaborating with staff to expand and strengthen team programming.
Helping train and orient new instructors and coaches.
Building positive, supportive relationships with gymnasts and their families.
Ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming gymnastics environment.

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years coaching Xcel Bronze & Silver and/or JO Levels 3-5 (preferred).
Minimum of 2 years working in a competitive gymnastics setting (preferred).
General knowledge of Xcel or JO Compulsory Code of Points.
SafeSport Certification (or completion within 15 days of hire).
CPR, First Aid, and YMCA-required training (must be maintained).
Ability to correctly demonstrate gymnastics skills appropriate to assigned levels.

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

Must be physically and mentally capable of maintaining required certifications.
Ability to demonstrate gymnastics skills during classes.
Must be able to see and hear in emergency situations.
Ability to lift/move up to 55 lbs or the weight of a small to average child.
Able to stand for long periods and navigate uneven gym surfaces.
Must be able to respond quickly and appropriately to unexpected circumstances.
