Founded in 1970 as a teaching school for future early-childhood professionals, the USC School for Early Childhood Education (USC SECE) seeks to promote school readiness, health/nutrition, mental wellness, and family engagement. Today, our licensed Head Start and Early Head Start centers serve more than 500 infants and pre-school children and their parents each year. We are seeking enthusiastic, creative, dynamic, and team-oriented individuals who enjoy working with children while fostering a supportive learning environment. Job Overview: The School of Early Childhood Education is seeking an Assistant Director, Educational Services.This position provides direction, oversight, and support for all services related to early learning and education (e.g., early interventionservices, special education support, classroom/home-based instruction, coaching/professional development). Ensures sitesmeet accreditation standards and childcare requirements (e.g., licensing, applicable health and safety regulatory).Authorized to acknowledge receipt of deficiency notices and to correct deficiencies that constitute immediate threats to children's health and safety. Files reports as required by governmental or agency guidelines and regulations. Responsibilities and Duties:

Physical Requirements: Must be able to climb stairs, reach, bend, lift 20-30 pounds, crawl, kneel, stoop, twist, grasp with hands and fingers, use arms and legs, walk, and climb ladders if applicable. The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; significant stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling. Pre-Employment Requirements:
The salary for this position is $95,000 - $115,000. When extending an offer of employment, the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, federal, state, and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerations. Minimum Qualifications Master's in Early Childhood Development, Education, Psychology, or other related field. 5 years of experience in progressive leadership with demonstrated experience in early childhood education, including 3 years in a leadership or administrative capacity. Demonstrated experience in Head Start and CA Dept. of Education (CDE) regulations, and Community Care Licensing. Early childcare education and experience in a large-scale childcare facility.
