Job Summary

Yarde Metals is seeking an experienced Class A CDL OTR Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a clean driving record, a valid Class A CDL license, and experience in long-haul trucking. The driver will be responsible for safely transporting goods from one location to another while ensuring timely delivery and maintaining security of the cargo.

The driver will make the run starting 11:00am on Sunday and traveling from our Southington, Connecticut branch to Chester, Virginia.

Responsibilities

Safely transport goods from one location to another.
Ensure timely delivery of goods.
Maintain the safety and security of the cargo.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations.
Communicate with dispatchers and other team members.
Represent company in a professional manner at all times.
Complete all necessary paperwork and documentation

Requirements & Qualifications

***This is a SAFETY SENSITIVE position: requires operating heavy machinery.***

Valid Class A CDL license
Clean driving record
Proven track record of driver safety
Ability to drive a manual transmission
Experience in long-haul trucking
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Willingness to work flexible hours and travel long distances
