Threat Analysis Engineer- Mid Career
Contingent upon Customer Approval
Purpose:
- Valkyrie Enterprises has an immediate opening for a Threat Analysis Engineer- Mid Career in Columbia, MD.
- This position is to provide support various technical areas serving as a multi-disciplinary analyst to multiple projects and programs. Gain a wide breath of experience across multiple disciplines both internally and externally to SEG.
Job Description:
- Data analysis and visualizations, including responding to quick reaction quests for analysis.
- Analysis comparing intelligence information to existing data for various uses and purposes.
- Develop and present briefings capturing analysis, intelligence information, and technology trends.
- Perform studies and initial modeling efforts in support of various customer needs on quick turn tasking with limited scopes.
- Documentation and presentation of work to internal and external customers.
- Reviewing engineering briefs.
- Preparing and present analyses to customers within context of customer needs.
Qualifications:
- Must have a Bachelor of Science degree or Master of Science degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering and at least 3+ years of related experience.
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communications skills to convey abstract concepts to both technical and non-technical audience.
- Must be able to construct succinct and focused briefs conveying a clear message to the customer.
- Must be able to design and execute meaningful analysis.
- Must have interpersonal skills to enable working, interfacing, and correlating technical approaches with a diverse team to understand and recommend forward-leaning tasks to the program managers.
- Must be skilled in use of Python or MATLAB to read-in, interpret, analyze and plot diverse data.
- Must have strong organization and data management skills.
Desired Qualifications:
- Two or more years of relevant industry experience, preferred.
- Experience presenting at technical reviews utilizing Microsoft Office, preferred.
- Programming experience and scripting in a Linux Environment, preferred.
- Knowledge of aerospace/defense systems technology domains, preferred.
- Experience with cruise and/or ballistic missile defense programs, preferred.
- Knowledge of adversary or domestic cruise and/or ballistic missiles, preferred.
Security Requirements:
- Must have an Active DoD Secret Security clearance, and the ability to maintain clearance
Travel Requirements:
- Minimal travel required.
- If position requires travel by domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases, candidate must be able to obtain (by start of position) and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL ID. Physical Requirements:
- Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods
- Able to sit and work on a computer for long periods of time
- Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another
- Communicating with others to exchange information
- Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds

Pay Range: $75,000 - $90,000 per hour
