You are an experienced Loader Operator, who takes pride in the safe and efficient operation of production mining equipment in a underground mining operation. You will be operating various CAT loaders to move waste/ heavy equipment to support site development operations. Essential Responsibilities: Safely and efficiently operate CAT 336, 980, 982 and 992 loaders to meet production targets. Conduct pre-trip/walk-around safety inspections and completes daily Job Hazard Assessments for all activities Ensure heavy equipment is in good operating condition and reporting and logging maintenance requirements or concerns as needed. Communicate effectively and professionally with other team members Be a leader of both safety and production for the team by ensuring compliance with all company, client, and legislated safety policies and procedures Qualifications Minimum one year of experience as a Loader Operator in an mining environment Ability to understand and operate GPS systems including Sitech. Knowledge of safe & productive operation of heavy mining equipment. Current MSHA p.48 surface, metal/nonmetal certification is an asset Ability to a pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening. Work Conditions Monday to Thursday working 10 hours per day. Potential for overtime on Fridays; overtime rates apply after 40 hours per week. Transportation from Elko and Carlin, NV provided.
