Optum NV is seeking a Health Information Management Medical Records Associate to join our team in Las Vegas, NV. Optum is a clinician-led care organization that is changing the way clinicians work and live. This is a high volume, customer service environment. You'll need to be efficient, productive, and thorough.

This position is full time, Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 7:00am - 5:00pm PST. Shift will be assigned upon start. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime. Our office is located at 2010 Wellness Way, Suite 200, Las Vegas, NV.

We offer weeks of paid on-the-job training. The hours of the training will be aligned with your schedule.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Scans documents into patients charts
  • Files documents into patients charts
  • Match unmatched labs in the portal
  • Edit and send provider dictation
  • Request medical records for patient upcoming appointment
  • Must have Medical office experience and understand the difference between medical record document types ie: radiology, labs, hospital consults
  • Must be extremely detailed oriented and have the ability to multi - task
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma/GED (or higher)
  • 1+ years of experience in a medical office and / OR medical records position
  • Intermediate level of proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook, including the ability to use multiple web applications
  • Ability to type and talk at the same time and navigate through multiple screens
  • Ability to work full-time, Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work on any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 7:00am - 5:00pm PST.   • Must be 18 years of age or older

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience with medical office processes
  • 1+ years of related work experience including data entry
  • Experience with EMR computer applications
  • Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $16.00 to $27.69 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
