Description
We are hiring an Industry Sales Leader to drive revenue growth and expand market share within the state and local government sector. This high-impact role is responsible for shaping sales strategy with our dealer partners, managing key government contracts (including NASPO and Sourcewell), and building long-term customer relationships that contribute to multimillion-dollar revenue streams.
The ideal candidate will lead go-to-market initiatives at both national and regional levels, collaborate across internal and dealer teams, and serve as a key liaison to government procurement entities and industry associations.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Experience with contract selling
  • Broad and comprehensive understanding of Steelcase, our business, our sales philosophy, and our distribution model
  • Highly collaborative individual with strong presentation skills and problem-solving abilities
Desired Skills and Experience:
  • Public Sector sales experience involving a dealer network
What You Will Be Doing:
  • Develop and align comprehensive market strategies to achieve sales targets in the state and local government sector.
  • Own the relationships with major public sector Purchasing Cooperatives and associations.
  • Lead all contracting and sales initiatives with NASPO, Sourcewell and identified state(s).
  • Drive RFP responses and contract negotiations to secure and expand Steelcase's government contract portfolio.
  • Influence dealer sales and marketing strategies that directly contribute to significant revenue generation.
  • Partner with regional sales teams, dealer networks, and internal business units to leverage contracts and drive growth.
  • Engage specialized resources to support complex sales opportunities.
  • Identify and pursue high-potential opportunities in secondary or unassigned markets.
  • Represent Steelcase at key industry events and maintain strong relationships with government and industry leaders.
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls, legal regulations, and ethical standards. Safeguard company assets and maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
