In the field of chemical biology and proteomics, all of these disciplines play a role and if you have all or any of these skills, we would like to talk to you about joining our team. Limited Duration Based on Business Need. PurposeThis position offers a unique opportunity to bridge scientific leadership with research autonomy in an academic environment. The staff scientist will play a central role in overseeing and optimizing all mass spectrometry platforms within the lab, including method development, troubleshooting, maintenance coordination, and collaboration with internal and external researchers. In addition to instrument stewardship, the role provides flexibility to pursue independent research projects aligned with the lab's mission, with access to state-of-the-art instrumentation, cross-disciplinary collaboration, and opportunities for authorship, funding applications, and mentorship. This role is especially well-suited for candidates from industry seeking to transition back into academia while maintaining a high level of technical and scientific impact. You will work closely with the laboratory manager, post-docs and graduate students in the completion of assigned tasks. A high level of independence is required once a task is assigned. This full-time position, like most research positions, requires working flexible hours which may include weekends, evenings, or early mornings. Required Materials
