We are searching for a dynamic and motivated Electrician to join our team at our Bloomfield, Connecticut location. First shift hours are 6:00am to 3:30pm Monday through Friday, with optional overtime.

Our products are used in space, aviation, marine, hydropower and other industrial applications. As an industry leader we design, test and manufacture the highest performing, self-lubricating, roller element, metal to metal and miniature bearings in the industry.



Summary: Install, upgrade, repair, and troubleshoot wide range of electrical equipment within the manufacturing space. Perform maintenance repairs in a timely manner to ensure continual operation of equipment and facility.



Responsibilities:



  • Maintain all electrical utilities; prepare wiring diagrams to record changes.
  • Install and relocate production equipment.
  • Act as a troubleshooter and repair equipment and building utilities. Resolve problems or refer problems to appropriate individual.
  • Perform preventive maintenance with work orders on manual and automated machinery, including CNC lathes, millers, saws, and grinding and honing equipment.
  • Respond to emergency breakdowns of equipment to keep production loss to a minimum.
  • Inspect equipment to evaluate conditions that could lead to production breakdowns or unsafe conditions. Report problems to supervision.
  • Maintain clean and safe work environment. Follow safety, environmental and State procedures, and local codes. Report safety incidents to supervisor.
  • Make recommendations for improvements to work processes. Contribute to 5S program in work area.
  • Provide a high level of service to all internal and external customers. Contribute to positive teamwork environment.
  • Perform other non-electrical tasks in support of department objectives. Participate in training/learning other positions.



Requirements/Qualifications:



Education: High school diploma/GED


Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience with an E2 license.


Skills:



  • Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude
  • Blueprint and schematic reading
  • Ability to calibrate instruments and use hand tools
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to make good decisions to maximize results.
  • Strong communication skills (speaking, listening, writing) with the ability to work well within a team and interact with all levels in the organization.



Physical Demands:



  • Continual standing
  • Frequent bending
  • Frequent grasping items and tools
  • Frequent twisting
  • Ladder and Lifts
  • Occasional (15-40%) lifting and moving materials up to 50 lbs.
  • Work inside and outside in all weather conditions



Other: Will be required to work overtime and weekends to meet customer needs.
