The purpose of this intern is to assist the Analytics & Enablement Team in work ranging from participation in analytics projects which may include: descriptive analytics and report development in Tableau or Power BI to operations and operations analytics, and various tasks, including scoping and requirements sessions to project management functions that may be necessary as part of a fast-paced data and analytics team. The Intern will work closely with Analysts, Managers and Leaders within the business to successfully complete various projects as assigned and to deliver them back to the department and business.

Responsibilities

  • Work with stakeholders and department analysts to understand and articulate data or analytics request and to leverage company data sources to provide a response to analytics questions.
  • Documenting analytics requests, methodologies, etc.
  • Providing basic analytics deliverables (reports and insights) with the oversight from team other analysts.
  • Providing analytics project support to analytics team and management as needed.
  • Knowledge of or desire to learn ways to access external and internal data sources used to perform analysis, including leveraging various data analysis and reporting tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Microsoft Excel
  • Leveraging cloud environment to develop solutions using MS Fabric
  • Knowledge of or desire to learn how to write code (SQL, R, Python) to develop analyses in response to questions from internal customers.


Qualifications

  • Exceptional communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to deliver business documents of varying lengths and types. Written deliverables may range from memos and email communiques to reports or presentations which delivering requested data process flows, methodologies, and requirements, etc.
  • Pursuing an advanced degree in MIS, Quantitative Analysis, Analytics or Decision Sciences, Engineering, Economics, or Business.
  • Completion of minimum of 3 years MIS, Mathematics, Decision Sciences, Web Analysis or Project Management coursework including and at least 2 business courses.
  • Ability to participate in or facilitate effective and efficient meetings and stakeholder interviews.
  • Work successfully in dynamic environment in which meticulous attention to detail is expected.
  • Exhibits exceptional organizational, analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Takes initiative to accomplish business objectives, seek new assignments, and requests to learn more about the business.
  • Knowledge of business support applications such as MS Office (Word, Power Point, Excel, Project) required

Intern/Co-Op sessions are considered temporary employment. No full-time employment commitments are made. However, depending on our business needs, some interns may be considered for a full-time position following the conclusion of the session conditioned upon the intern graduating from their academic program and being available to commence full-time employment at a specified time.

USD 23.65 - 35.48 per hour

Compensation:

Hourly base pay rate is $23.65 - $35.48/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.
