We're on the lookout for a Social Media Intern to join Cox's brand marketing team. This role goes beyond creating posts (though there'll be plenty of that!). You'll dive into social trends, engage with our audience and experiment with content across various platforms. This paid internship is a full-time hybrid position with a mix of remote and in-person work at our Atlanta HQ.

What You'll Do

You will bring a fresh perspective to our social media presence and help us stay ahead of the curve on trends. Here's more on what that looks like:

  • Assisting in the planning, execution and monitoring of social media content across Cox Enterprises' channels (LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook).
  • Shooting and editing short-form videos (i.e. TikTok and Instagram Reels).
  • Assisting with paid social media strategy and planning.
  • Creating engaging social content from capturing and editing video and photos to writing captions.
  • Keeping tabs on comments and conversations happening with our online community.
  • Assisting with social media influencer management, as needed.
  • Analyzing data and reporting on key metrics.
  • Staying up to date on the latest social media trends and best practices.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled at an accredited university and pursuing a bachelor's in social media, advertising, marketing, graphic design or another related degree program.
  • This internship position is based in Atlanta, GA; Cox Enterprises does not provide a housing allowance.


Your Skills

Minimum:

  • Familiarity and fluency with major social media platforms, including LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok and Facebook.
  • Effective professional communication skills, from email correspondence to presenting in a meeting.
  • Excellent writing skills, with the ability to adapt tone based on channel while adhering to Cox brand standards.
  • The ability to edit photos, graphics and videos via software like Canva and CapCut.
  • The ability to assess social media analytics to gauge success and identify areas of opportunity.
  • The ability to brainstorm in a collaborative setting, as well as explore new ideas independently.


Preferred:

  • Experience with coordinating social media activity for an established brand.
  • Experience with social media marketing and editing software, such as Canva, CapCut, Sprout Social, etc.

Intern/Co-Op sessions are considered temporary employment. No full-time employment commitments are made. However, depending on our business needs, some interns may be considered for a full-time position following the conclusion of the session conditioned upon the intern graduating from their academic program and being available to commence full-time employment at a specified time.

USD 21.49 - 32.26 per hour

Compensation:

Hourly base pay rate is $21.49 - $32.26/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.
