    Crescent Hotels & Resorts is honored to announce an exciting opportunity for a talented VIP Rooms Coordinator for the grand opening of JW Marriott Reston Station this Fall!

    Join the opening team of the first JW Marriott in Virginia! The hotel features 247 rooms spread across 12 floors, setting a new standard for luxury accommodations in the DMV area. With the largest luxury meeting space in Northern Virginia, totaling 35,000 sq ft, it includes two ballrooms with 20-foot ceilings and plenty of natural light from floor-to-ceiling windows and a large skylight. The JW Residences occupy the remaining 16 floors. This impressive architectural gem is conveniently located along the Silver Line Metro, perfectly positioned between Dulles International and Reagan National airports, providing travelers with exceptional access to the capital region and beyond.

    What will you be doing?



    • Answer the telephone and greet prospective guests in a friendly manner using clear, verbal English communication. Listen to callers to understand inquiries and requests. Promptly provide accurate information regarding availability, accommodation types, transportation to and from hotel, rate, etc. Promote JW Marriott Reston Station marketing programs. Assign reservations based on guest preferences and availability.
    • Read, retrieve, communicate and verify information including confirmation number to caller. Input and retrieve data using a computer reservation system and utilizing codes for efficiency.
    • Answer questions regarding hotel facilities and services, local attractions, directions, etc. Know, understand, and communicate applicable deposit and guarantee policies as requested. Resolve any issues related to bookings or stays quickly and professionally.
    • Be the Luminous Program liaison. Understanding the importance of the program and working together with the operations team to deliver the service.


      • Maintain strong relationships and act as the secondary point of contact for luxury travel agency partners when Director of Luxury Sales is not available.
      • Ensure guest's preferences are noted and met. Communicate with other departments (front office and housekeeping) regarding VIP reservations or any other special requests.
      • Coordinate room assignments based on client's requests (i.e. connecting rooms for families, crib request, favorite room, etc.).
      • Arrange special requests (i.e. welcome amenities).
      • Assist Director of Luxury Sales with production reports.



    • Business Travel Support:


      • Onboard new BT accounts, coordinate with Front Office team to ensure proper handling of BT guests.
      • Checking on arrival list and prioritize VIP's room upgrades (based on their Marriott Bonvoy status), provide hand written welcome notes on behalf of the Director of Luxury Sales.
      • Support contract renewals and documentation.


    • Group Reservations


      • Review Group contract and build the block to match the agreed upon block.
      • Review inventory / Ensure VIPs and Upgrades are blocked
      • Ensure the cutoff dates are accurate



    • Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
    • Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.


    What is required?



    • We are looking for someone passionate about creating genuine customer experience while achieving revenue objectives.
    • We want someone to represent JW Marriott with confidence and the spirit of hospitality.
    • The ideal candidate will have local area experience and 2 years in a group sales role.
    • You will be responsible for effectively soliciting and securing new group business from a variety of markets while strengthening the relationships and production of existing group accounts.
    • You will work closely with the Director of Sales and Marketing and Revenue Management to negotiate pricing and optimize production to positively impact hotel revenues.
    • Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
    • Can communicate well with guests.
    • Must be willing to "pitch-in" and help co- workers with their job duties and be a team player.
    • Can do, problem solver personality.
    • Friendly disposition with a passion for hospitality.
    • Team player who strives to support others and likes to win as a team.
    • Previous Marriott experience preferred.
