POSITION SUMMARY :

Sugarbush Resort is seeking a Lead Parking Attendant to oversee the daily operation of the parking lots and parking staff, with a focus on the Lincoln Peak lot. The Lead parking attendant is responsible for assisting the supervisor to manage resort parking operations by working with and leading teams of parking attendants. Strong radio and verbal communication are required. The Lead Parking Attendant may need to drive a company vehicle transporting guests or as needed.

Parking operations run from 6AM-11:30AM Friday through Sunday as well as holidays & major snow events where expected skier visitation is high. The Lead parking attendant may need to stay until end of day (4PM) depending on business levels. This makes about 17.5 hours in 3 days, 30 to 40 hour working week is possible and can be made up in snow removal or other operational tasks. This is a full or part time seasonal position with a starting wage of $20/hour.

RESPONSIBILITIES :
  • Ability to maintain a consistent and safe flow of traffic and pedestrians and run anuninterrupted team of both parking attendants and jitney drivers.
  • Monitor cleanliness of parking lot and vehicles.
  • Coordinate with security staff for intersection service.
  • Complete weekly staffing schedules, plan trainings, and evaluate job performance.
  • Ability to think quickly and problem solve in fast passed environment.
  • Must have excellent customer service and communication skills.


QUALIFICATIONS :
  • Must be 18 years of age with valid motor vehicle license.
  • Job is contingent upon successful completion of a motor vehicle records check (MVR).
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required, college preferred.
  • 2-3 years of ski area operations or parking experience, with at least one year of supervisory experience.
  • Good understanding of ebb and flow of traffic patterns associated with a ski area.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and interact with the public and other company personnel.
  • Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and effectively.
  • Commercial driving experience preferred.
  • Knowledge or radio use/protocols preferred.
  • Ability to work weekends.
