As a Security Professional - Retail Patrol Roving in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in supporting a secure environment at a bustling retail location. Your primary responsibilities include conducting routine patrols throughout the premises, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service to all visitors and staff. You will be an approachable point of contact, ready to assist with questions and respond to situations with professionalism and care. Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the retail environment.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and promote a secure atmosphere.
• Observe and report activities or incidents that may impact the well-being of the location, team members, and visitors.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits and verifying credentials as required.
• Support loss prevention efforts by remaining visible and attentive during patrols.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, team members, and the public as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience in loss prevention is preferred.
• Possession of a Guard Card or license is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 plus years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
