As a Security Officer - Distribution Site Patrol - Full Time in Hagerstown, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution and more .

As a Screener in a logistics and distribution environment, you will play a crucial role in helping to maintain a secure and welcoming atmosphere for all personnel and visitors. Your primary responsibilities will include monitoring assigned areas, conducting routine patrols, and staying visible to help to deter potential security-related incidents. You will be a key point of contact, providing outstanding customer service and clear communication while supporting the smooth flow of daily operations. Pay Rate: $17.46 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, including emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Screen individuals, vehicles, and/or packages entering and exiting the logistics and distribution location to help to deter prohibited items or unauthorized access.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor and maintain access control points, verifying credentials as required.
• Document and report any security-related incidents or irregularities according to site protocols.
• Communicate professionally with visitors, employees, and delivery personnel while upholding Allied Universal standards.

Minimum Requirements:

• A Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
