Purpose: To create engaging, family-friendly entertainment through the application of specialized skills, while providing leadership that empowers the team to deliver exceptional guest service and create memorable experiences.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and oversight for the Entertainment Team, ensuring all staff perform their roles effectively and professionally.
- Direct and supervise character and dance performances, maintaining high standards of quality and appropriateness for family audiences.
- Ensure all entertainment programming aligns with Mall of America's brand values and seasonal initiatives.
- Develop and implement consistent training programs for character performers to enhance skill sets and performance quality.
- Address guest and team member inquiries and concerns with professionalism and prompt resolution.
- Model and promote professional guest engagement and train entertainment staff to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
- Manage communications with external partners to ensure alignment on objectives, timelines, and deliverables.
- Lead the ideation and execution of engaging entertainment experiences and events.
- Conduct performance evaluations and administer disciplinary actions in accordance with company policies.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of costumed characters during performances and appearances.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and collaborative working environment for the Entertainment Team.
- Oversee staffing needs, including hiring and training of party hosts, VIP tour guides, and team leads.
- Coordinate staffing for special events, seasonal activations, and entertainment requests.
- Supervise character performances at off-site promotional events, ensuring crowd control and guest interaction standards are met.
- Plan and manage entertainment logistics for both onsite and offsite events.
- Ensure accurate payroll processing for character performers.
- Enforce licensing agreements and regulatory compliance across all entertainment operations.
- Monitor and track attendance of character performers to ensure accountability and scheduling accuracy.
- Maintain regular, reliable, and consistent attendance.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support departmental and organizational goals.

Stating Pay:
$49,900 - $62,488 Pay is based on many aspects which vary based on position. These include labor markets and, in some instances, may include education, work experience and certifications.
