Job Scope

Our innovative and growing company is looking for a Direct Procurement Analyst II who will play a crucial role in optimizing the procurement process for direct material. This position involves analyzing and strategizing procurement activities, managing supplier relationships, and implementing cost-saving initiatives. The Procurement Analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive efficiency, minimize risk, and achieve the organization's procurement goals.

Key Duties and Responsibilities




  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies for indirect categories, such as IT, marketing, facilities, and professional services, to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality.
  • Provides procurement support to ensure the availability of required indirect materials and services.
  • Recommends alternatives to demand for internal stakeholders wherein material supply is in jeopardy. Expedites materials as required and handles rejections or other problems on purchased materials.
  • Manages the tactical business relationship between the supplier and Diasorin, and ensures that communications are clear and appropriate.
  • Conducts comprehensive analysis of direct material procurement data, including spend analysis, market trends, supplier performance, and cost optimization opportunities.
  • Evaluate and select suppliers, support contract negotiations, and manage supplier relationships to ensure compliance, quality, and competitive pricing.
  • Monitor and assess supplier performance, including conducting supplier evaluations, resolving issues, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as finance, legal, and operations, to ensure alignment and support for procurement initiatives.



Education, Experience, and Qualifications




  • BS/BSE/BA level degree in business, engineering, science, logistics, or related discipline.
  • 3+ years of Experience in procurement, strategic sourcing
  • 3+ years Experience in a purchasing of biological and chemical materials is preferred
  • APICS/ISM/Six Sigma certification preferred


  • Experience using an ERP system in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experienced in using Microsoft Office: Excel (Pivot tables & Vlookup), PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality while dealing with sensitive and private information
  • Develop strong working relationships throughout the organization at all levels
  • Strong verbal and written interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to formulate, implement, and practice procurement policies and procedures to assure overall economic purchasing in the organization
  • Ability to assist in preparation, negotiation, and evaluation of formal procurement solicitations and contracts, including the ability to assess contract compliance
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced dynamic work environment
  • Able to coordinate effectively with employees and management



What we offer

Salary Range

The salary range for this position is $80,000- $95,000 annually. The salary range for this role represents the numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, educations, skills, work experience, certifications, etc. Beyond base salary, Diasorin offers a competitive rewards package focused on your overall well-being.
