Location:Lee Health Department: LMH Day Care Center Work Type: Full Time Shift: Shift 1/6:00:00 AM to 6:30:00 PM Minimum to Midpoint Pay Rate:$22.78 - $29.62 / hour SummaryThis role provides support, consultation, in-service training, and advisory services to teachers, parents, leadership, and other personnel regarding the implementation of positive behavior interventions and specialized programs for children with behavioral and/or mental health needs. The individual works in partnership with classroom teachers to support children who exhibit significant behavioral challenges in the classroom. They observe, document, maintain, and analyze data, and discuss findings with teachers and families to implement individualized plans that promote positive behaviors, social skills, and academic success for the children. Assists in connecting parents / caregivers with services needed for behavioral and mental health interventions. RequirementsEducation: Bachelors degree in early childhood. Mental Health, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution. Masters degree preferred. Experience: Three (3) years of Highly Effective experience in teaching and / or working in ESE. Experience successfully managing business/department functions and staff preferred. Certification: Valid Florida teaching certificate or out-of- state teaching certificate in Exceptional Student Education (ESE). Industry Certification, Lean Six Sigma Certification preferred. License: N/A Other: Understanding of the characteristics and behaviors associated with disorders. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to apply behavioral principles effectively. Excellent interpersonal skills. Exceptional stress management abilities. Proficient in handling intense emotional situations. |
