The Project Manager directs the clinical research in the Center for Neuroimaging, Neurophenotyping, Neurocomputation, and Neuromodulation for the Department of Psychiatry amp; Behavioral Health; oversees planning, organization, implementation and execution of all clinical research projects within the program; ensures compliance with all local, state and national regulations including adherence to Good Clinical Practices (GCP); recruits, hires, trains, supervises and evaluates clinical research staff; plans, directs, assigns and monitors clinical research staff activities and productivity; participates in the development of new projects and protocols; oversees and supervises submission of required regulatory documents; assist investigators and research teams with and reporting adverse reactions of participants; performs responsibilities related to financial management, analysis and report functions; provides input to Principal Investigators (PI) in the development of research study budgets with sponsors; implements, administers and oversees project imaging/procedural budgets and expenditures while working with the grants office; develops, implements and oversees collaborative research initiatives; assists with modifications of project data collection tools to develop information systems and measures to protect patient confidentiality; serves as a liaison with the PI, institutional review board (IRB), federal, state and industry sponsors related to participant issues and status; plans, coordinates, oversees and prepares for external quality assurance and control reviews; develops, implements and enforces administrative and operational policies and procedures; provides consultation services to residents and fellows regarding research projects. Requirements: Bachelors degree in biological or health sciences, or an equivalent combination of education amp; experience required; Masters degree preferred; 4 years of experience required; planning and administering research projects required, preferably in a health services or clinical research study setting; proficiency with data abstraction required; clinical research certification from ACRP (Association of Clinical Research Professionals) or SOCRA (Society of Clinical Research Associates) certification is strongly desired; working knowledge of medical terminology required. Requires successful completion of a background check. Qualified candidates may be asked to complete a pre-employment physical including a drug screen and background check.
